A trio of Tucker Lady Tigers will make history on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Tucker High School as they set a program first with three Division I signees in one season.

Seniors Erykah Davenport, Naima Jackson and Nuba Jackson are ready for the 2013-14 season, but will first sign the dotted line to further their education and playing careers at the next level. The trio helped the Lady Tigers to Elite 8 appearance and a school record of 25-5 last season and return to try to take Tucker even further this season.

Davenport, a 6-2 center, is casting her lot with the University of Miami (FL). She has scored 1,105 points in her career (13.8 points/game) and collected 645 rebounds (8.5 per game). The Jackson twin sisters are going to sign with Winthrop to play next season.

Naima Jackson, a 5-8 guard, is coming off an injury shortened season in 2013 where she only played 15 games, but was averaging almost 10 points per game. Jackson has collected 524 points, 91 steals and 84 assists in three years of play.

Nuba Jackson, a 5-8 guard, stepped up her play in her sister’s absence last season averaging 9.3 points and 4.6 rebounds to help Tucker into the quarterfinals of the Class AAAAA state tournament. She has 525 career points, 308 rebounds, 172 steals and 88 assists in her three seasons.

The group leads their team into a preseason tilt with defending Class AAAAAA state champion Norcross on Thursday night at Norcross and open the regular season at St. Francis on Friday night.
