ReplyNo kill. I know it's not easy, I know what it requires, but I also know other cities have done it, successfully. Atlanta has one of the highest kill rates of any comparable sized city. No kill is the way. It's humane, it's effective and for taxpayers it's actually less expensive in the long run. "No kill Atlanta!" is my wish.

Hi Tracy! As Ralph said, LifeLine is located in Avondale Estates. They have a no-kill Kitty Motel (where Clea lives) and a no-kill Dog House. They also run a low cost spay/neuter clinic in the same facility as well as a clinic in College Park. Clea really IS a beauty, you are right. She's so pretty, and her personality totally matches her looks. She's friendly, laid back, sweet. When I met her, I wanted her, but I already have 5 rescued pets myself!

ReplyShe really does have that best kind of beauty - the kind that shines through any age or physical problems - and you know you are in the presence of a special and noble girl dog. I really liked her the second I met her. She didn't know me, but she was happy to see me, anyway. I was happy to see her getting the help she needs.

Hi Glenn! He's a really special cat and he's at LifeLine Animal Project's no-kill Kitty Motel near Decatur. If you want to be his family, that's fantastic! Please contact mblair@LifeLineAnimal.org or adoptions@LifeLineAnimal.org to fill out an application for adoption. Good luck and thanks!

Clare you are so correct! Spay/neuter is beneficial in so many ways to the animal, the owner, the community, the future. It takes a lot of time and energy to spread the word and benefits to folks who simply don't know or understand and I salute everyone who makes humane education a part of their mission in life or even something they do on occasion to help tip the scales for good. Seriously...thank you.
