Raised by a news editor, I've been a hobby journalist since I learned to write. I enjoy all types of writing, but I find providing attributable, accountable, factual information to the community to be a worthwhile and fulfilling service. I got my first "real" journalism experience gathering poll info during elections for the Associated Press in my teens (which was as soon as they would let me), followed by several projects for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. I went back to work for the AJC as a freelance writer several years later, and after another few years hiatus, my desire to write steered me to Patch.
I have lived in Tucker for most of the past 12 years. When I'm not writing, you can find me coaching soccer at TYSA or just trying to keep up with the demands of 7-year-old twins.
