Five locals get recognized at VSU.
Valdosta State University has announced the names of students from Tucker who met all qualifications for graduation in Fall 2012. They are: Kathryn Huitt Vernon, Master of Science, Biology Lamone S Graham, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Speech Communication Raina Jessine Mitchell, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Dance Scott Perry Pieper, Master of Library & Information Science Additionally, VSU announced that Emma Patricia Carey of Tucker earned the academic status of Dean's List. Several outstanding local students were honored during recent ceremonies.
Elyse Robinson of Tucker has graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, earning a MFA degree in Interior Design. Olivia L. Wells completed her baccalaureate studies in geology this year at SUNY Oswego and was recognized May 12 at the college's 151st Commencement. Jeremy Emmanuel Pace, a native of Tucker, graduated cum laude from the University of Montana Western on Saturday, May 5. Pace earned a Bachelor of Arts, Environmental Sciences degree. Marie K. Bosler of Tucker was among the 470 students receiving degrees from Piedmont College at the recent May commencement ceremony. Bosler earned an Education Specialist degree.
