Northlake Mall Had Strong Black Friday Sales

Stores such as Kohl's and Macy's, which opened at midnight, did especially well.

Northlake Mall turned out a strong Black Friday, said Shelley Korenbrot, a spokeswoman for the shopping center on Briarcliff Road. Stores that opened early, such as Kohl's and Macy's, which opened at midnight, did especially well, she told Neighbor Newspapers. “Our stores that opened midnight had a great run,” said Korenbrot. “Kohl’s had a long line that wrapped around the building to go in and everyone was going after their door-buster items. Tucker's Target Store Gets a Makeover

New layout makes shopping easier, says Target.

Target's store at Northlake Parkway and LaVista Road just completed a remodel yesterday that adds an expanded grocery section. Andrea Munzer McCauley, spokeswoman for the chain, told Tucker Patch that, according to research and customer feedback, shoppers were looking for more fresh food in the convenience of their local Target store. "The concept offers basic high-frequency items; basic dry, dairy and frozen food assortments; and an expanded selection of convenience foods in snacks, beverages and candy," she said in an email. The store has also upgraded other sections such as the beauty, home, baby and shoe departments, McCauley said. These changes include interactive screens, wider aisles and better visibility and access to products.
