Man Attempts Armed Robbery at Piccadilly Restaurant
Afternoon hold-up foiled as the man runs away.
A man attempted to rob the Piccadilly Restaurant in Tucker on Wednesday afternoon by pointing a gun at staff and demanding money. But then he lost his nerve and ran away. The incident happened when the man entered the restaurant on Crescent Centre Boulevard and threatened workers. He was met with resistance and fled, and remains at large. "He got scared," manager Paul Escarra told Patch. "He was in and out real quick." Escarra described the man as black, about 6 ft. tall, and in his mid-20s.
