Northlake Mall Had Strong Black Friday Sales

Stores such as Kohl's and Macy's, which opened at midnight, did especially well.

Northlake Mall turned out a strong Black Friday, said Shelley Korenbrot, a spokeswoman for the shopping center on Briarcliff Road. Stores that opened early, such as Kohl's and Macy's, which opened at midnight, did especially well, she told Neighbor Newspapers. “Our stores that opened midnight had a great run,” said Korenbrot. “Kohl’s had a long line that wrapped around the building to go in and everyone was going after their door-buster items. Macy’s also opened at midnight and they did really well on their door-buster items too.” Sears opened even earlier, at 8 p.m. Thursday. “They had a ton of people waiting for the electronic specials,” Korenbrot said. “They sold out of those."
