The final Green Market on Main for the 2012 season will be this Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Main Street. Area Girl Scouts will be selling hot chocolate and apple cider, plus Brockett Elementary has spirit wear and baked goods for sale. There will also be a Halloween costume contest at 1:30 p.m., though contestants should be there by 1 p.m. The market vendors will offer trick or treating, plus there will be face painting and a raffle too. Music will be provided by Elizabethan Rodeo. Some of the vendors at the last Green Market on Main include David's Garden and More, Leilani's Garden and Nazifa's Bakery. Some vendors do take credit cards in addition to cash.

Green Market on Main will be on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here's a sample of some of the vendors this week: Calyroad Creamery (artisan cheeses) David's Garden, Kitchen and More (jellies, preserves, pickles, etc.) Jennifer's Bamboo Leilani's Gardens (plants) Mill Creek Spice (organic spices and seasonings) Nazifa's Bakery (breads, naan, baklava, etc.) That Special Touch Plus, there will be music by Joe DiLeo. Also check out the new brunch at Local No. 7, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. Note that some vendors do take credit/debit cards in addition to cash. On Oct. 28, Green Market on Main will also have a costume contest for kids at 1:30 p.m. (contestants should be there by 1 p.m.) along with face painting and other fun. Stay tuned …

Does your organization need a venue for fundraising or education? Five weeks remain for the Green Market on Main which is held on Main Street in Tucker every Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Our last day will be Oct. 28. The Market is sponsored by the Old Town Tucker Merchant's Association and one of our missions is to support our local community. We invite our local nonprofits to join us in these final weeks. The First Baptist Church of Tucker will be our non-profit this week. They will be selling barbecue to help support their missions.
