You, our readers, voted overwhelmingly for this great local florist.
It wasn't even close. The results of our Best Florist in Tucker poll came down to two finalists, with the Tucker Flower Shop in front by a wide margin. The shop on Idlewood Road (near El Taco Naco and Paramount Coffee) scooped up 69 percent of the Readers' Choice vote, ahead of A BoKay by JoAnn just around the corner which got 23 percent. It's nice to see our readers supporting small local businesses. Kroger and Publix were included in the survey and they received no votes at all! In fact, TFS has a big sign above the door which says, "Shop Local. We Love You More." Patch will be visiting the Tucker Flower Shop (great name, that) in short order to give them a bunch of swag and a nice certificate. Next week? On Monday we'll be asking you …

Big chain nails it.
The Northlake Parkway behemoth known to all as the Sports Authority snagged the most votes this week in our poll. The company's website says they operate more than 450 stores in almost every state and are headquartered in Englewood, Colorado. "Sports Authority has a rich history, dating back almost a century, of being an industry leader in providing a wide assortment of quality, brand-name sporting goods," it says. We'll have another survey next week and will announce the category shortly. Stay tuned!

This one sneaked up on us, as a write-in candidate, no less.
Not only does Inclusif Fitness in Tucker get a nice little surprise this week, but so does Tucker Patch. I'll explain. In our second weekly Best of Patch Readers' Choice contest, our winner Inclusif Fitness wasn't even on the original list of choices! But the 'other' category at the botton garnered plenty of attention, almost 35 percent, and all the votes and comments were for this little place in the Sangria's shopping center at 4401 Hugh Howell Road. The comments I received cover the gamut: "Inclusif Fitness should definitely be on your list! The facility offers the BEST Zumba classes anywhere," said Shanterrie Martin.
