MLK Day of Service Planned for Monday
Tucker organizations are collaborating in honor of Martin Luther King Day to serve the community.
On Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 representatives from Tucker churches, schools, organizations and businesses will join together for a morning of service in recognition of the “beloved community” ideal proclaimed and embodied in the life of Martin Luther King Jr. The idea for this Day of Service came from a group of local ministers meeting at Tucker High School, and other members of the community quickly embraced the opportunity. The Day of Service will begin at Tucker High School at 9 a.m. with sign in, registration, and words of instruction. Coffee and other breakfast refreshments will be provided.
