Stressing that a plan to redistrict county schools isn’t a done deal, more than 150 middle DeKalb parents and residents turned out Thursday night to develop a plan that, as one leader said, “stops the bleeding.” “Our hope is to work as a community and create a plan that minimizes the disruption in our neighborhoods, but still meets the county’s goals,” said Katie Bell, one of the organizers of the meeting held at the Leafmore Creek Park Club in Decatur.
