The secret to how Charles' Barber and Style Shop has managed to stay in business
In 1972 Charles Mason's Barber and Style Shop opened for business. Almost forty years later, Mason is looking forward to celebrating its anniversary. It was July when Mason first started out in the Tucker Plaza Shopping Center on Hugh Howell Road. He had been working in the business at nearby Taylor's Barbershop for ten years and, like anyone facing the potential pitfalls of a new business, he asked himself if he should stay in Tucker or move elsewhere and attempt to build an entirely new client base?
