I was in a month ago, and am returning tonight. The food was well prepared, tasty, and the portions generous. I had the chicken (quarter, white meat) and two sides, cole slaw and collard greens. It was more than I could eat, so I had a whole meal of leftovers the next day. For 7.99 I'd say that was a bargain. I really liked the 4 (5?) different bbq sauces. I like the feel of the place, and the music on the first Thursdays of the month is wonderful! The owners were very friendly and added to the overall good vibe of the place. I'm expecting another good time tonight at Greater Good BBQ. I'll report back.

The customer service was HORRIBLE! I had purchased a coupon for $10 off a $15 purchase. I ordered $15 worth of food which I would not have done had I not had the certificate. After I gave the waitress the coupon, the manager...I guess, he didn't introduce himself...said they had illegally put his coupon on their website and wouldn't honor it. I have used restaurants.com probably 50 times and NEVER had a problem. They don't just pick restaurants out of the air and offer coupons. He just blamed them and acted like the victim. When asked him why he didn't have it taken down immediately so he didn't have customers getting upset like I did, he just acted like it was their fault and I could call restaurants.com and work it out with them.
I did call restaurants.com, they have signed vendor contracts before they would EVER add a deal to their site, Otherwise, they could get sued....and lose a ton of business if they operated that way. They offered me a $35 gift card to their site in exchange for the $4 I originally spent, and apologized profusely. They also said the would log in the complaint that the establishment was not honoring the agreed contract and ban them from the site for future promotions. Note to Greater Good...When a customer is upset for a very valid reason, you make it right. Then, you go to whoever is "victimizing" you and your customers and make them fix it. You don't shrug your shoulders and tell them tough luck.

A great barbecue place for Tucker. Friendly people run this restaurant and have a great wait staff. It's a casual place with a great veranda for dining. The food is always good, and the restaurant offers a variety of sauces. I love the collards and mac and cheese. One of the great things is the catering menu, and the wonderful and spacious meeting room for events. This restaurant is a great addition to the Tucker dining scene.

I finally got over to check out the new BBQ joint in town for a late lunch meal. The menu is limited and I was surprised not to see an offering of a BBQ chicken sandwich, so I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw.
The meal came with a slice of texas toast, which needed more toasting and not too much sauce on the pork(which I like). The meat was tender and moist and the slaw was a little too juicy for me, but crunchy and sweet. The staff were very friendly and the music was easy on the ears and varied.
I'll go back and try the chicken and hope that the menu increases in variety and maybe try one of those brownies sitting at the counter!
I think the place would be a great spot for some live music, its roomy and has a great patio space....think about folks

Didn't want counter service, didn't like VERY limited menu, didn't like sit-down prices for counter service. Left without eating.

I have eaten at Greater Good BBQ twice since its soft opening a couple of weeks ago. The owners are working hard to make this place a success. The menu is being tweaked and they are listening to their customers. The owners and staff are very friendly and prompt. I found the pulled pork to be lean and tasty and a generous serving at a great price. The sides are very good. The stew is thicker now than early on and has a nice kick to it. This is a great new addition to eating out in Tucker. Richard

Stopped in for lunch 7/23/12. First impression was it did not " smell" like a barbecue restaurant, so not sure that they really cook the meat on the premises. Tried a pulled pork sandwich and a cup of brunswick stew which the lady at the counter said was "the best". The meat in the sandwich was tender but had no flavor, certainly not a smoky flavor, and I have had lots of barbecue. The stew was full of potatoes and lima beans and very little meat. After two bites, I was done. My husband tried the mac and cheese and it was decent. We were told all sides were homemade. I wish the owners well but I think I will stick to Hickory House.
