Weekender: Low Country Boil, Arab Fest, Dog Rescue

Some of what's going this weekend around Tucker.

There's a Low Country Boil and Silent Auction at Living Grace Lutheran Church, 1812 Cooledge Road, Tucker, on Saturday, Aug. 24 starting at 4 p.m., "serving the students of Georgia Tech, Agnes Scott, Emory and Georgia State." 

A 3 Family Yard Sale and Benefit is happening on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 8 a.m. in Lilburn at 5767 Lost Grove Drive. The proceeds go to support a local chapter of ACT-SO (a 501c3) which is a national competition in the arts and sciences. 

Alif is Atlanta's Arab cultural center. "We connect humanity through the power of arts and culture with a focus on increasing the understanding and appreciation of Arab culture." The center is having an open house on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m. 

Big Adoption Event this Saturday & Sunday noon to 6 p.m. at Open Arms Dog Rescue. All Adoption Fees dropped from $225 to only $100 with Approved Application. Look for the big blue tent out front. 3516 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker.
