Weekender: Homecoming Parade, Tucker Habitat, Elite Gymnastics

Five things happening in and around town in the next couple of days.

Tucker High School will have its Homecoming Parade Friday, Sept. 20. Main Street will be closed to traffic and the parade will be marching through between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Tucker will play against Dunwoody's Wildcats at Adams Stadium at 7:30 p.m. Friday night.  
 
There is a Fall Plant Sale at Fernbank Science Center on Saturday, Sept. 21, 8 a.m. 156 Heaton Park Dr. Atlanta. See map "Over 200 varieties of trees, shrubs, and flowering perennials will be available for purchase."

Tucker Elite Gymnastics will hold Girls Competitive Team Tryouts on National Gymnastics Day, Saturday, Sept. 21, 9:30 a.m. at the Tucker Recreation Center.    

See interactive emergency vehicle displays, learn how to compile emergency kits, and receive information on disaster and emergency preparedness, fire safety, crime prevention and large animal crisis care at the DeKalb County Emergency Preparedness Festival on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10 a.m. North DeKalb Mall at 2050 Lawrenceville Hwy., Decatur. 

Supporters of Tucker Habitat for Humanity are invited to a FUNdraiser this Sunday, Sept. 22 at Monday Night Brewing, 670 Trabert Avenue in Atlanta. Beer tasting and live music from Moontower
