Week Ahead: Report on School Board Progress Tuesday
What Tucker has going on in the next few days.
The DeKalb Board of Education will hold a called meeting at 10 a.m.,
Tuesday, Jan. 21 in the Robert R. Freeman Administrative & Instructional Complex, 1701 Mountain Industrial Boulevard, Stone Mountain. Dr. Mark A. Elgart, President and Chief Executive Officer, AdvancED, will report to the board.
Registration for DeKalb County's adult coed and men’s softball leagues will be open Jan. 21 to Feb. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Athletics Office of the Tucker Recreation Center at 4898 LaVista Road. The season begins in March and will have 10 regular games.
The Tucker First United Methodist Church Music and Arts Ministry has courses in Class Piano and Music Reading on Wednesday nights beginning on Jan. 22.
The 2014 DeKalb County Baseball Media Day is Thursday, Jan. 23 starting at 4 p.m. on the baseball field at Tucker High School.
The DeKalb County Fire Rescue Department will be visiting the Edinburgh Estates Friday, Jan. 24, 9 a.m.—5 p.m. 1558 Edinburgh Drive, Tucker. Public Education personnel will answer questions while recruits participate in a live fire training exercise. For further information, contact the Public Education Unit at 678-406-7491.
