Week Ahead: Jobs Bus, Tucker Night, and More

What's up in the next few days.

Answers and Alternatives for Families of the Developmentally Disabled (AAFDD) is holding its annual Bluegrass Pot Luck Family Social, Monday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Tucker Recreation Centere, featuring a live performance by the Nearly Normal Band. Guests are asked to bring a main dish, side dish or desserts to share. Soft drinks and fried chicken will be provided.

The Jobs Bus come to Tucker twice this week: Tuesday, Nov. 19; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Northlake-Barbara Loar Library, 3772 LaVista Road, and on Wednesday, Nov. 20; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at Tucker-Reid H. Coffer Library, 5234 LaVista Road.

There is a Tucker Night at Aldo's, Wednesday, Nov. 20, 5 p.m. "to answer questions and discuss the benefits of Cityhood for our Tucker community."
 
A Food Truck Feast is happening at 2375 Shallowford Road on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 5:30 p.m.  

The Tucker Farmers Market will be at its regular spot on Thursday, Nov. 21

The Tucker Tigers continue to the second round of state playoffs, Friday, Nov. 22

DeKalb County's Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs is hosting a Holiday Card Competition for children ages 5 to 12 and is now collecting submissions until Dec. 6. The winner will receive one seasonal pass to the Browns Mill Family Aquatic Center and one for an accompanying adult. Competition rules are available here.
