Week Ahead: Job Expo, Tucker Night, Fall Fests and More

Some of what's happening in the next few days around Tucker.

The Friends of Embry Hills Library Book Sale starts on Monday, Oct. 21 and continues through Wednesday. 3733 Chamblee-Tucker Road. 

Discussion with Dr. Joy A DeGruy at Northlake Barbara-Loar Library: African-American Multi-Generational Trauma: "Creating a Blueprint for Healing" wih Dr. Joy DeGruy, an international scholar, professor, social scientist, Clinician, and author of Post Traumatic Slave Syndrome: American's Legacy of Enduring Injury and Healing." Monday, Oct. 21, 6 p.m. 3772 LaVista Road.

Tucker 2014 is having a Tucker Night at Blue Ribbon Grill on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 4 to 10 p.m.

There will be a Job Fair in Tucker at CMU’s campus - in association with the Georgia Department of Labor - on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The event will be held at 1957 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 512.

In nearby Lilburn, there will be a Disaster Relief Preparedness Summit for Leaders of Faith-Based Communities at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1150 Cole Road. Thursday, Oct. 24, 9 a.m. 

Evansdale Elementary's Fall Festival: Join the Evansdale Elementary community for an evening of family-friendly games and fun. "Enjoy carnival-style games, a bounce house and slide, Bingo with AWESOME prizes, and much more." Friday, Oct. 25, 5:30 p.m. 2914 Evans Woods Drive. 

Midvale Elementary is also holding a Fall Festival. This one is on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
