Monday Essentials: Tucker Together, Johns Homestead, Henderson Park

The third meeting of Tucker Together will be on Monday, June 10 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at First Atlanta Christian Church to "explore the processes and possibilities of Tucker becoming a city." The subject for discussion will be Parks and Recreation Management and Land Acquisition.

DeKalb County Commissioners are considering building a new county animal shelter at Johns Homestead Park. Join the public meeting on Tuesday, June 11 at 9 a.m. sharp at Maloof Auditorium, 1300 Commerce Drive in Decatur to share your views with the commissioners. "We need many people to show up to make an impact," said Pam McNall from Friends of Johns Homestead.

The joint regular meeting of the DeKalb Parks Bond Advisory Committee and the Initiative for a Green DeKalb Advisory Council is Wednesday, June 12, at 5:30 p.m. at Henderson Park, 4000 Henderson Park Road in Tucker.
