Harmony Center Welcomes Tibetan Monks Back to Tucker
The Drepung Gomang Monks are spending the week here sharing their rich cultural diversity and raising awareness of the Tibetans' plight.

Help us at Harmony welcome the Drepung Gomang Monks back to Tucker for a full week of Chanting and Meditation, watch the creation of the Peace Mandala as it takes form over the course of four days. Viewing times are available every day.
The monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery Tibetan Buddhist are refugees, most of whom fled Tibet on foot through the Himalayas at a very young age. Tibetans continue to be suppressed, torturtured and in some cases worse, by the Chinese Liberation Army.
The only way the Dalai Lama and millions of Tibetans are able to practice their culture, traditions and religion is to live in exile.
These monks of the Sacred Art Tour are touring the USA for one year. They travel from week to week to different places, such as Tucker, to keep the traditions alive by sharing their rich cultural diversity. Another part of their mission is to bring awareness to the plight of Tibetans, still today, after 50 years of occupation. And lastly they are here to raise donations to help support their way of life at the Monastery.
We are asking for your donations, all of which -100%- go back to the Monastery for food, clothing, medicine, and especially for their education.
