Volunteer Opportunities in Tucker

Crossroads Hospice, at 1957 Lakeside Parkway, Suite 500 in Tucker needs help with patients. "Our greatest need is volunteers who can provide companionship, socialization and support to patients, families and caregivers," says the Volunteer Match website. 

Assistance with refugees is needed at Catholic Charities. "Be a bridge to American culture (by taking families) to the library, to the grocery store, or visit a museum," the VM site says. Catholic Charities is located at 2305 Parklake Drive, Suite 150, Building 9 in Northlake. Training is provided and a background check is required; applicants must be at least 21 years old.

Numerous volunteer positions are available at the local branch of the International Rescue Committee. VM says the IRC "helps families uprooted by crisis survive and rebuild their lives." It is located near Catholic Charities at 2305 Parklake Drive, Suite 100 in Northlake. Find out more here.
