Help Needed: Habitat for Humanity, Keep DeKalb Beautiful

Organizations throughout DeKalb County are looking for reliable, enthusiastic volunteers to help impact lives and communities. Here are a few groups that have plenty of opportunities to serve:

• Habitat for Humanity-DeKalb could use volunteers not just to hold a hammer and nails on Build Day, but for office and phone work, cleaning up after construction, tidying up the house before its dedication, and landscaping. Click here to learn more about volunteer opportunities and requirements. 
• Volunteers in Patrol program of the DeKalb County Police Department is described as “a non-confrontational neighborhood patrol program.” Citizens patrol their own neighborhoods.  For more information on qualifications and duties, click here.
