Help Needed: Big Brothers Big Sisters Seeking More Role Models

Organizations that assist the homeless could also use caring volunteers.

There are myriad needs among organizations that service children and the homeless. Take a look at some of the opportunities that exist in metro Atlanta to impact a person’s life.

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is in need of men to step up and be Big Brothers for young males – the need for African American and Hispanic men is great.

  • The Atlanta Day Shelter for Women & Children Inc. has a monthly volunteer orientation the first Tuesday of each month from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. At this point, the shelter only needs volunteers from Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If you’d like to volunteer, send an email to volunteer@atlantadayshelter.org and ask available dates/times to lend a hand.
