Give an Hour Cleaning Up Tucker Saturday

Volunteers are wanted to help spiff up the place..

Super District 7 Commissioner Stan Watson will partner this weekend with Tucker High School, Tucker Civic Association, and the local community in a clean-up along Lawrenceville Highway, LaVista Road, Main Street, and Idlewood Road.

This effort will be on Saturday, Nov. 16 beginning at 9 a.m. The starting point is the parking lot of Tucker High School.

"I am grateful for the support that I can count on with my efforts to improve the quality of life for those who call DeKalb County home," Watson said in a statement.

Reflective vests, trash grabbers and bags will be provided, according to a Tucker Civic representative. Additional crews from the county will be out simultaneously cleaning other parts of Tucker, including the Fellowship Road bridge, Railroad Avenue and the train overpass at Lawrenceville Highway.
