Viewfinder: Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders in Tucker

The Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders were raising funds for Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

The Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders raised $350 for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as they washed cars at the BP ampm on LaVista Road last Saturday.

Customer Michael Mills was taken by surprise. “As I pulled up to my neighborhood to purchase the daily paper, I took note of a group of people washing cars. What drew my attention was their smiles and enthusiasm, which seemed a bit out of place for performing such a tedious task in the brisk Saturday morning air," he said. "The group turned out to be none other than the Atlanta Hawks Cheerleaders, washing cars to raise money for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. I was touched by their dedication, glad to get my car washed, and honored to have the opportunity to donate to such a worthy cause."

“These car washes were a perfect way for the Atlanta Hawks and BP ampm to come together to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta," added Denitra Baldwin, Marketing Director of U.S. Oil Holdings, a parent company of BP ampm. "Our customers were excited to see the Hawks cheerleader in their communities and were proud to support a great cause. This type of promotion is one that we would love to participate in time and time again."
