Crossroads Hospice of Atlanta

Crossroads Hospice serves patients and their families in 19 metro Atlanta counties. Their greatest need is volunteers who can provide companionship, socialization and support to patients, families and caregivers. Spanish-speaking volunteers are in high demand here as well.

Be a bridge to American culture for a refugee family in the new Ellis Island. Take a refugee family to the library, go to the grocery store, or visit a museum.

Family Friend volunteers agree to spend a minimum of 2 hours per week with a refugee or refugee family for their first four months in the United States. The goal is to become a trusted friend to help refugees ease the stress of moving to a new country, home, and way of life. As a Family Friend you can provide encouragement and support and help them learn important skills like how to access public transportation, how to navigate the grocery store, and help them improve their basic English skills.
Monthly in-service meetings provided. Volunteers must be over 21 and submit to background check provided by agency.
Northlake Petsmart Caretakers and Socializers

Come and play with the kitties. Volunteers aged 16 and older are needed to socialize and clean the cages at the Petsmart in Tucker. This is our 4th Petsmart location and the kitties love to get out and play. Duties include providing fresh food, water and cleaing litter boxes. Speaking with the public about Furkids and the kitties at the store. This is a great faimly event that will provide hours of fun and faimly time. Hours are flexiable and available during Petsmart business hours.
