Alumni News: More Local Students Honored

Kudos to a bunch of Tucker students.

The following students, all of whom come from Tucker, were recently honored for their college achievements, according to ReadMedia Newswire.

Named to Oglethorpe University's Dean's List for the Spring 2012 semester were Eleanor Burden, an English major, Ariana McClellan, a psychology major, and Sheeba Sajja, a mathematics major.

Mary Kelly and Ian Nickle were named to the Honor List of Oxford College, the two-year liberal arts division of Emory University located in Oxford, Ga., for the 2012 spring semester. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher to be named to the Honor List. Both also received degrees: Kelly (an Associate in Arts) and Nickle (an Associate in Arts).

The following students were named to the Dean's List of Emory College, the undergraduate, liberal arts college of Emory University for the 2012 spring semester: Ke Bai, Vijay Balakrishnan, Rosa Ilyayeva, and Chunsu Jiang. Jiang also received a Bachelor of Arts, as did Mariangela Jordan and Xuyang Zou.

Aneesha Thobani received a Bachelor of Science from Emory College of Emory University.

Jessica Artis and Jon David Huffman received Doctor of Law degrees from the School of Law at Emory University.

Larry Cantey Jr., Ebony Remus and Jessica Holmes received Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Graduate School of Emory University.

Malini Krishnamoorthy and Reynaldo Wallen received Master of Business Administration degrees from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.

Amy Kirby received a Master of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University.

Shuo Chen received a Master of Science from the Graduate School of Emory University.

Jennifer Schwab received a Master of Theological Studies from the Candler School of Theology of Emory University.

Caitlin Marie Raines of Tucker graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
