DeMarcus Taylor played in his first college baseball game on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013. It was a Super Bowl Sunday for him. DeMarcus pitched in the night cap of a double hitter. He pitched a complete game as he propelled Clark Atlanta University to a 10 to one victory over St. Augustine University from North Carolina.

The score was two to zero in the bottom of the fifth inning when Clark Atlanta scored five runs to put the game out of reach. However, the game was out of reach when DeMarcus took the mound in the first inning. In seven complete innings, DeMarcus had six strike outs and zero walks while allowing one run in the sixth inning. He allowed only four hits. His only trouble came in the sixth inning when he gave up a solo home run that made the game seven to one. This was a super performance on Super Bowl Sunday for a freshman pitching in his first college game.
