Tucker Rolls Cedar Grove in Season Opener

We're looking for parents, players or fans to write about and take both pictures and video of their favorite Tucker area sports teams! And don't forget to brag about the cheerleaders, too!

The Tucker Tigers roared out of the gates in their 2013 season opener on Friday night with a 51-12 thumping of Cedar Grove at Panthersville Stadium.

Coach Bryan Lamar's Tigers, ranked No. 2 in Class AAAAA, rolled to a 44-6 halftime lead and then took the foot off the pedal in the second half against the overmatched Saints.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Tucker's Dominick Sanders enjoyed a big game as he scored the season’s first touchdown on a 52-yard return and the Tiger offense powered for more than 200 yards rushing in the game’s first two quarters.
