Tucker Athletes Score in National Championship
Alex Washburn and Austin Davis got big results in a triathlon.
Two athletes from Tucker's Fish Out of Water youth triathlon team scored high in the Iron Kids National Championship, held Sept. 1 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Alex Washburn, 15, finished in ninth place for the senior division with a time of 54:19. Austin Davis, 14, finished in sixth place, also for the senior division, clocking in at 45:48. They swam 300 yards, biked for eight miles, and finished with a two mile run. More than 40 boys and girls participated.
Fish Out of Water, a registered USA Triathlon team, is coached by Bill Bruning of the Winding Vista Swim & Tennis Club, and Casey Hannan of the Leslie Beach Club.
