Middle School Football: Tucker Going for Region Title

The team secured its third consecutive playoff berth.

A head-to-head region championship game has playoff implications in the final week of the DeKalb County middle school football regular season on Saturday.

Tucker (5-0, 3-0) hosts Region 1 co-leader Champion (4-1, 3-0) in a 10:30 a.m. game at Adams Stadium to decide the region championship. Both teams are assured a playoff spot with the winner getting the No. 1 seed and the loser the No. 2 seed heading into next week’s Trail to the Title playoffs.

Tucker enters the game averaging 41.2 points (206 total) per game on offense while allowing just 2.4 points (12 total) a game on defense including four consecutive shutouts. Tucker secured its third consecutive playoff berth with its three consecutive region victories and is going for its first region title.

Stephenson (4-1) vs. Renfroe (4-1), Decatur H.S., 10 a.m.
McNair (0-5) vs. Lithonia (2-3), Panthersville, 10:30 a.m.
Redan (3-2) vs. Columbia (5-0), Hallford, 10:30 a.m.
Tucker (5-0) vs. Champion (4-1), Adams, 10:30 a.m.
