Mays at (Adams Stadium): It’s about time, right? Tucker may be forced to play its first-teamers well into the second half. The Tigers (5-0), who have averaged 65 points in their last three games, face their most important game since beating Marist in the second week of the season.

Mays also is 5-0, and is viewed as the third-best team in Region 6-AAAA behind Tucker and Marist. The Raiders have something to prove in this one, and a win likely would pave the way for them to earn a No. 1 or 2 seeding (and home field) for the state playoffs. Tucker is ranked No. 1 in the state for a reason. The Tigers are deep and fast on both sides of the line — for example, 12 different players, including Dallas Rivers’ eight, have scored at least one touchdown. Tucker 28, Mays 13.
