I was humbled a bit last week in my predictions of high-school football games played in Patch coverage areas from Stone Mountain to Cumming.
After a can-you-believe-it 21-3 record the first week, I cooled off to a 16-6 mark last week (38-9 overall). I only missed badly on one pick. Really.

Carver at Tucker (Adams Stadium): There won’t be a letdown for the top-ranked Tucker Tigers after last week’s big 15-11 win over Marist. In fact, Tucker (2-0) should not be challenged again until perhaps Oct. 7 against Mays. No offense to the Tigers’ opponents; they’re just that good. Carver is 0-2. Tucker 39, Carver 6.
