Norman Hayes is the older brother of the late Livvy Hayes.

Norman Hayes of Tucker was named the 141st captain of Harvard football at an event Monday in Boston.

The former Tiger, a rising senior defensive back, was honored at the Harvard Club for the 2014 season. The announcement was made by Head Coach Thomas Stephenson during an awards banquet at the Harvard Club.

Hayes is the older brother of the late Livvy Hayes, who died in 2008 after a school bus accident in Tucker. Their parents started the Livvy's Love foundation in her memory, providing financial assistance to youth in support of education and extracurricular involvement in the community.
