Great Henderson Hunt Today

Today, Feb. 12, participants of all ages will gather at for an outdoor adventure - an old-fashioned treasure hunt. Equipped with a map and a list of clues, teams will set out to find wildlife “treasures” that have been hidden along the wooded hiking trails. Prizes will be awarded to the three teams that retrieve the most treasures within the allotted time (1-1/2 hours), with shortest time as the tiebreaker.

The Great Henderson Hunt will begin at 2 p.m. at the pavilion next to the playground on the Livsey side of the park. Participants will pay an entry fee of $5 (free for children 4 years and under) and work in teams of up to five members. Teams can be made up of friends, neighbors, coworkers, classmates, family members, colleagues, club members, or any membership participants choose. The treasures they seek will highlight the diversity of wildlife that inhabits Henderson Park.

Each participant will receive a raffle ticket. Entrants can register at the event or in advance online. Online registrants will receive an extra raffle ticket. Proceeds will benefit the Friends of Henderson Park.
