DeKalb Middle Schools Football Update
Tucker improved to 1-0 in Region 1 and to 3-0 overall with a 66-0 victory over Sequoyah.
The middle school football season rolls into week six with five teams having unblemished records with four weeks to go before the playoffs.
Bethune leads Region 1 with a 4-0 overall record and 2-0 in region play following a 26-20 victory over Chapel Hill this past weekend. Chapel Hill (2-2, 1-1) scored more points on Bethune than the Lions’ first three opponents combined (6 points).

Stephenson tops Region 2 at 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the region after knocking off previously undefeated Salem (3-1, 1-1) 14-0. Cedar Grove remained unbeaten at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in region play with a 34-8 victory over region foe Champion (2-2, 0-2).
Peachtree shut out Lithonia 16-0 to improve to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in Region 3 while McNair improved to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in Region 3 with a 30-6 win over Redan.
Druid Hills knocked off Freedom 21-7 to tie Miller Grove (2-2, 1-0) atop the Region 4 standings at 3-1 overall and 1-0 in region action. Miller Grove won an interdivision game with Region 3’s Columbia (1-2, 1-0) by a score of 8-0.

Region leaders look to expand leads in weekend contests. Bethune (4-0), Peachtree (4-0) and Druid Hills (3-1) want to open up some breathing room in their race for region titles this weekend during DeKalb middle school football action.
Bethune, 2-0 in Region 1, takes on Sequoyah (1-3, 0-2) in hopes of staying ahead of Tucker (3-0, 1-0) in the Region 1 standings. Tucker takes on Henderson (0-3) as the Tigers are on a collision course with the Bethune Lions in a Week 7 match up that could decide the region winner.
Peachtree, 2-0 in Region 3, faces off with McNair (1-3, 1-1) in the hopes of improving to 3-0 in region play while McNair looks to bring Peachtree back to the pack.
Region 2 leader Stephenson (4-0, 2-0) takes a week off and Cedar Grove (3-0, 1-0) matches up with Chamblee (1-2, 0-1) in the effort to move into a tie for the top spot in Region 2 with Stephenson.
Druid Hills (3-1, 1-0) is knotted with up with Miller Grove (2-2, 1-0) and wants to move up to 2-0 in region play as they take on Stone Mountain (0-4). Miller Grove is idle this weekend.
