Stephenson Hosts Inaugural DeKalb Softball Tournament

Six girls teams, including Tucker, will play games at Lithonia sports complex.

The Stephenson Lady Jaguars are hosting the inaugural DeKalb County Softball Tournament beginning on Thursday, August 11, and running through Saturday, August 13, at the Southeast Sports Complex in Lithonia.

Six DeKalb County teams will split into pool play with the top two finishers moving into the semifinals on Saturday as the 2011 DeKalb County softball season gets underway.

Columbia, Miller Grove and Tucker will compete in Pool A while Chamblee, Redan and host Stephenson compete in Pool B.

Columbia and Miller Grove face off on Thursday along with Redan and
Stephenson. Both games start at 5 p.m.

Tucker and Miller Grove meet on Friday along with Chamblee and Redan with both games starting at 5 p.m.

Saturday kicks off at 9 a.m. with Tucker vs. Columbia and Chamblee vs. Stephenson.

The semifinals are set for 12:30 p.m. between the top two teams in each pool. The finals are set for 2:30 p.m.
