NASA Educator Coming to Tucker Pre-K

New ground for Grandma's Finest.

The expansion of a local preschool/daycare aims to provide something greater than a little more legroom for the students and staff.

Grandma’s Finest Learning Center, located on Bancroft Circle in Tucker, will be offering Pre-K beginning this fall. A limited number of seats are still available.

To help launch the curriculum, the school turned to lifelong educator JoCasta Green.

Green is relocating from Huntsville, Alabama, where she works for NASA Educational Technology Services. Her work can be found on NASA Kids’ Club, NASA for Grades K-4 Teachers and NASA for Grades K-4 Students.

“During my 25 years in public schools, we focused on literacy development,” said Green. “At NASA, we focus on developing science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, education. Children are natural explorers. I plan to incorporate my love of literature with STEM-related materials to encourage them to explore, play and learn about the world around them.”
