DeKalb County girls’ high school basketball teams ran their 2013 playoff record to 12-0 as all six teams claimed playoff victories on Friday night.

The No. 4 ranked Southwest DeKalb Lady Panthers led by sophomore Nicole Martin’s 29 point, 15 rebound double-double advanced to the state quarterfinals for the fifth time in six years with a home court 68-37 victory over Villa Rica (22-9).

Martin, who averaged 16.4 points and 10 rebounds per game during the regular season, topped those averages in the first half alone as she hit for 19 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Southwest to a 33-17 halftime lead. Southwest expanded a 16-10 first quarter lead as Martin scored 10 of her points in the second quarter as the Lady Panthers outscored Villa Rica 17-7.

Miaya Crowder took some of the load off Martin in the second half by scoring 10 of her 12 points as she also went for a double-double with 10 rebounds. Britany White hit for 19 points and grabbed 9 rebounds to lead Villa Rica in the loss. Southwest DeKalb (21-8) advances to host fellow DeKalb and Region 6-AAAAA
