Atlanta Symphony Inspiring Evansdale Students

Members of the orchestra are visiting the elementary school Tuesday morning.

Members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will visit Evansdale Elementary School on Tuesday, Jan. 22 as part of the β€œMusicians in Schools” program.

They will be performing and interacting with first through fifth graders at the school, which has a general music program and just started an instrumental program for the first time this year.

Melissa Sanders, an Evansdale mother who handles public relations for the A.S.O., told Patch the musicians will bring their talent and inspiration to the students. "This project is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. The impact of music-rich educational experiences for kids has been proven over and over again," she said.
