Alumni News: Georgia Southern Honors Tucker Students

The Statesboro college singles out three more local students for special awards.

The Georgia Southern University chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, a national honor society for college freshmen, has initiated two new students, Erin Seal and Susan Williams, who come from Tucker.

To be eligible, initiates earn a minimum GPA of 3.6 while enrolled full-time.

Phi Eta Sigma recognizes and promotes academic and service excellence among first-year students. The honor society now has 371 chartered chapters throughout the United States.Β

Also at Georgia Southern, Elizabeth Rucker, from Tucker, received the Outstanding Scholar Graduating Senior Award.
