BREAKING NEWS: Senator Fran Millar Withdraws SB 270 at Government Affairs Meeting Today!

SAVE TUCKER FROM LAKESIDE CITY:  BREAKING NEWS:  Senator Fran Millar (R - Dunwoody) withdraws SB 270 (Lakeside City) after Rep. Mike Jacobs (R - Brookhaven) speaks to the problems with a compromise map that requires both cities move forward in tandem.  

But, to quote an unknown source who writes emails from Tucker Together and yet reports on issues regarding Tucker 2014:  "Nothing is final until the last vote is counted under the Gold Dome."

And to quote a forebodingly similar statement from Mary Kay Woodworth, President of Lakeside City Alliance, "the one thing that is true in politics is that is not over until the gavel bangs.

Should we tell them that their speech writers might be collaborating a little TOO much??  Nah!  That might interfere with the game plan which included fundraisers this past weekend, too.  But, if the city movement is truly on hold for now, why are they still asking for funds?  Good question.  

One reason could be because any company that dissolves its non profit status can transfer its asset to another non-profit of its own choosing.  There are a few politicians who might need a little "thanking" before the actual last day of the session which is Thursday.  So, do we think it is over for now?  HECK NO!   

Champagne (left over from New Years) is temporarily on hold at Save Tucker headquarters for now, at least until we know for a certainty that SB 270 is actually VOTED DOWN in committee, not simply "withdrawn" to be easily taken right back up again.
