Get Home Now: New DeKalb Campaign for Homeowners

$20 million effort promotes flexible credit and affordable renovations in key neighborhoods within the county.

DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis is launching a new campaign called Get Home Now! that aims to help people with mortgages and renovations.

Ellis has partnered with Home Depot and APD Solutions in a $20 million commitment of new capital for mortgages and home repairs that will be made available for residents of DeKalb County.

The campaign will be launched tomorrow, Wednesday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. at The Home Depot (Wesley Chapel), 4325 New Snapfinger Woods Drive in Decatur. "The public is encouraged to attend and learn more about purchasing homes or rehabilitating existing homes with affordable mortgages. The mortgages can be used to finance repairs, renovation or existing debt," said Ellis' spokesperson in a statement. Those in attendance will also receive free giveaways.Β  Β
