CEO Ellis, Commissioners to Host Neighborhood Summit

The theme this year centers on the future and improving quality of life.

DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis and the county Board of Commissioners are hosting the fourth annual DeKalb Neighborhood Summit on Nov. 3.

The summit's theme is "Your neighborhood, your quality of life: The place where your future lives."

Residents from all over the county, including Tucker, are invited to attend, exchange ideas with others and learn how to partner with the county to help improve quality of life.

Workshops at the summit will focus on foreclosures, code compliance, community safety, beautification and green initiatives like water conservation, recycling, renewable energy and sustainable neighborhood programs.

Plus, Ellis, the commissioners and other community leaders will be on hand too.

The summit will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott, 130 Clairmont Avenue, Decatur. To register for the summit or get more information, click here.
