Two Arrested in Tucker Standoff

Shots were fired at police officers early Thursday, but no injuries were reported.

Two people are in custody this morning after shots were fired at police officers during a standoff in Tucker, Channel 2 Action News is reporting.

The incident happened in a neighborhood near the junction of Brockett Road and Lawrenceville Highway at about 1 a.m. Thursday.

Several helicopters were hovering over the area for at least an hour and disturbed numerous neighbors from their sleep. Allenwood Way resident Jim Kinney told Tucker Patch that the choppers were flying very close to the tops of trees.
