Thieves Striking in Broad Daylight

By Yarold Benavides, a resident of Drayton Woods in Tucker

On Monday (Labor Day) I left my house around 2:30 p.m. and returned around 7:30. My motorcycle had been stolen from my carport. I called the police, filed a report and the odds of getting it back are slim.

Two weeks before that a broken lawn mower was also stolen from my car port. I've been here nine years and have never had a problem with anything being stolen. My other motorcycles were not touched and they are now locked up in the backyard. It's frustrating that this can happen on a holiday in broad daylight. I asked my neighbors if they had seen anything and they did not.

The motorcycle was a 2000 Yamaha TTR-250. If anyone has seen it around the neighborhood, please let me know.
