Shorty's Pizza Robbed at Gunpoint

No injuries reported after Sunday's hold-up.

Two men held up Shorty's Pizza in Tucker Sunday evening and got away with cash and valuables.

Employee Jeremy Hobaugh told police two black males in their early twenties came in the front door shortly before 8 p.m. "waving their guns around."

The suspects went behind the counter and one of them put a gun to Hobaugh's face, telling him to open the register. As Hobaugh did so, the suspect held his gun to the back of Hobaugh's head, according to the police report. The register contained $300.

Two female customers sitting at the bar were also robbed. One had her wallet taken and the other a silver studded purse. It's not clear if there were any other patrons in the restaurant.

The suspects fled on foot westbound on Lawrenceville Highway past B & E Auto Service and cut south behind the Citgo gas station, one of the victims told police. No injuries were reported.
