Robbers Target Bank Customer

A bank customer was stalked by two men who later robbed him.

A man who withdrew a large sum of cash from a bank had it stolen moments later at a gas station across the street.

The robbery happened last Tuesday around 11:15 a.m. at the BP station at Hugh Howell Road and Mountain Industrial Boulevard in Tucker. Camarron Harris told police he had been at the Wells Fargo bank and then drove over to BP when he was intercepted by two black men, one of whom brandished a silver knife and demanded his money.

"Mr. Harris stated that he gave the suspects $954 and (they) exited the vehicle and asked to see inside the trunk," Officer T.A. Cribbs wrote in the incident report. The suspects then fled on foot eastbound down Hugh Howell Road.

Harris said he had seen one of the suspects inside the bank and the other one in the parking lot. He was able to describe them, saying one wore a long black t-shirt and the other was wearing a brown blazer and a black turban.
