Man Robbed at Gunpoint Outside Northlake Mall
The 23-year-old victim was robbed in the parking lot Wednesday morning.
UPDATE, Friday, Jan. 18, 2:57 p.m.: Carly Dennis, who manages public relations for Northlake Mall, said Friday morning the armed robbery did not happen at Northlake Mall but rather across Briarcliff Road on Publix property near a bus stop. Patch is confirming this with DeKalb County police.

An Atlanta man was robbed at gunpoint in Northlake Mall's parking lot Wednesday morning, DeKalb County police said.

A man carrying a black handgun confronted the 23-year-old victim and told him to empty his pockets and turn away at 7:15 a.m., the police report said.
The victim, who was not injured, gave the man his wallet and his iPhone, and the suspect ran toward LaVista Road.
