Last Chance: Volunteer for 'Beat The Badge'

The 5K Run on Saturday benefits the DeKalb Police Alliance.

Volunteers are needed for Saturday's Beat the Badge event, benefitingΒ the DeKalb Police Alliance, a non-profit organization which provides all uniformed police officers in DeKalb County with a $100,000 life insurance policy.

The policy covers officers killed in the line of duty and has helped two families of slain officers to date.

Please contact Grant Knox (knoxg@att.net) if interested in volunteering at the event, which takes place on Saturday, Sept. 15 near the Police Headquarters building on West Exchange Place in Tucker.
